Dr. Laszlo Hagymasy Visit to USA

Several years ago, a person told me a story..."We call a person who
knows several languages, "multi-lingual"; we call a person who knows
two languages, "bi-lingual"; and we call a person who knows only one
language - "American." That seemed true to me...sure, I had a little
Spanish and Latin in school, but practically speaking, I had no
foreign langugage experience. Even Miami University allowed me to
substitute programming languages for a foreign language requirement.

So a few years ago, I started studying Hungarian...a very unique and
awesome sounding language. I have had the joy of meeting several
Hungarian people...learning a bit of their history and culture. It has
been said that when you learn another language, it is like you get a
second soul. I think it is true.

Dr. Laszlo Hagymasy is a cousin of a very dear friend of mine. He is a
respected physican and author in Hungary. He came to the U.S. to
speak about the birthing techniques in Hungary and to test his English
language skills. His youngest daughter was with him on this trip. His
daughter is an economics major at a university in Hungary.
His
visit allowed me to test my Hungarian skills. We were like 2 year olds
communicating...but as you can see by the pictures...there are
some things that are universal!

If you are interested in viewing (in very graphic detail) how babies are
delivered in Hungary, you are welcome to email me and I will send a
PowerPoint presentation. There are several avi files in the presentation.
The size of the presentation is roughly 600 MB...too much to easily
download. Dr. Hagymasy, his daughter, and I enjoyed translating the
presentation to English.

An edited, compact version of the presentation can be received by
